About The Woods...This membership-only gay and lesbian campground, exclusively for the 18-and-older crowd, is located on 100 private acres with streams, five acre lake, and spacious camp sites. We have a variety of sites for seasonal campers, trailers, and popup campers, as well as tent camping. We are Class A Motorhome friendly. There are also cabins available for short term rental. The Woods campground provides a relaxed, beautiful setting for a diverse group of people from all over the Northeast. Our guests are roughly half singles - half couples, representing a broad mix of ages. Some camp alone, some camp with lovers, some camp with friends. It's everything you want it to be, and better than you'd ever expect. Our registration desk is in the Woods Campground Store. We supply all the convenience items you'll need in The Woods, especially the stuff you probably forgot! We also sell camping essentials like firewood and ice. You will enjoy our clubhouse and covered patio overlooking the in ground pool. The clubhouse is also the home of the Cafe' in The Woods, disco, billiards, poker table, fireplace, and bathrooms!
We also hold activities in our covered pavilion in the center of the camping area. This is a great place for group activities and will be available for your own groups to gather or organize a party. This is just feet away from our 5 acre lake which you'll be able to explore by paddleboat or on our nature trails which start by wrapping themselves around the lake and into the surrounding woods.
Cabins are available and can be reserved by clicking the reservations link (on the left). The cabins are equipped with a fridge, microwave, color TV with cable, ceiling fan, bunks, and electrical outlets; plus picnic table and fire ring at the site. Campers must provide their own pillows and linen. There is no smoking allowed inside the cabins. Sorry, no pets are allowed in the cabins.

Despite Saturday'night's thunderstorms, [we] really had a fun time at The Woods this past weekend. Everyone was extremely friendly for what was our first, certainly not our last visit. ...your friendly e-mails convinced us that even while in the minority, as a totally bi-couple, we would be welcome. After many years of insistance, I finally caved and accepted the invitation to Weekend at The Woods! Why the heck did I wait!? From my first introduction to the wonderful cast and crew at the store/office to my tons of hugs, kisses and waves as I drove away this was a weekend to be remembered and re-visited! Can not wait to come back and see my new friends! I had the most amazing weekend performing at the new All-Gay Campground in the Pocono Mountains in Lehighton, Pennsylvania. THE WOODS is simply Fabulous! EDIE Thanks to all the friendly people, campers staff etc -- I had a great time visiting this kind of campground for the first time ever, and I like it! I especially love the pride and energy that people show in decorating the space, keeping it clean, improving and just being courteous and friendly and helping to make it a great experience. We are very much looking forward to spending time at the Woods. We can tell you that the Woods not only has a great reputation for its excellent facilities and friendly atmosphere, but also for its great customer service. I love this place! What a great community. I had the opportunity to visit last Saturday and met many great people. Besides the beautiful scenery, I have never felt so at home and peaceful. I met people from Texas and Philly that have now become new friends. Can't thank you enough, I hope to visit again real soon. I can't believe this is only an hour away from my home. This weekend "bear weekend" was my first visit to The Woods campground. I wasn't sure what to expect . . . I have to say, this has been the best weekend I have had in a long, long time. Everyone there, the campers and the staff were awesome! The bonfire Friday night was great! The meet and greet on Saturday was a blast, and dancing in the club house was sooooooooooo much fun! I live near Wilkes-Barre, PA, and I can say that none of the DJ's up here even compare to the guy that was playin the tunes down there! I can't wait to come again! Just wanted to say thanks to everyone there... Even though I wasn't at home... I felt like I was!!!!! Lookin forward to seeing you all again really soon! We'd just like to say that, as avid campers, we were totally won over by our first visit to The Woods. The campsites, the location and especially the people. We felt at home from the first day and look forward to many more visits. Hey guys, I just want everybody to know I only found the camp about 5 weeks ago and I am having the time of my life!!! I am an older (51) chubby guy that always has a good time, but the reception of people at the camp is just overwhelming. Everybody and I mean everybody is sooo friendly.The front desk when you first walk in is your first impression and all the workers were great (thanx). I love how everybody invites you to their tents and trailers for a drink or just to hang out and chat. The bonfire at night was alot of fun and I thought the show was wonderful. By Sunday I felt so much at home and so relaxed that I put my name on the waiting list for a perm site. So guys & gals I just wanted all to know how I felt and thanx to all for being honest, happy & real. I HAVE A NEW HOME!!! My friend and I were staying in cabin 79 for the Mardi Gras weekend. You should be proud of the great collection of permanent and transient campers that you attract. Thanks again for a great experience! I will be sure to visit again soon, and recommend your camp to my friends. Just a note to say that we enjoyed our first visit to your campgrounds! The setting is beautiful, visitors friendly and you keep everything very clean. We'll look forward to returning again this year. We have been camping since 1992 and by far this (July 4th weekend) was our best camping experience ever! We will only camp at the WOODS. Thank you to all the people that made us feel very welcome. We had a great time our first week with you, and looking forward to the rest of the summer, as we will be there at least once a month. Every one is so nice and helpful. A great place to get away and relax and party on the weekends. This is the most relaxing campground I have been to and had the most fun. We even took the dogs out on the lake in the paddle boat (we have small dogs) and they loved it. Excellent hiking trails and good company. We just returned from our first weekend at the Woods. We both had a fabulous time. We found the members to be friendly and warm. The staff was helpful....and made us feel at HOME! Thank you to all!! [We] have been camping various places for years now and we can honestly say the interaction we had with you and various staff was one of the most professional we've ever had. That sort of thing makes a huge difference to us. I just wanted to write in regards to my stay with you guys this past weekend... It was my first time visiting your campground and I was so impressed. The staff is courteous and friendly...the owners down to earth, and the other campers were just so damn easy to get along with...at no time during my stay did I see any standoffish people and it was nice to see that there are no "CLICKS" like at some other campgrounds...LOL...Thank you all for a wonderful wonderful time...I will be back in the upcoming weeks for sure. Just wanted to pass this email along to you. This past weekend was our first weekend at The Woods. We were very impressed that a lot has been accomplished in such little time. We will be back for future dates. The music was great, the pool area was relaxing as well as the pool itself. We liked the canopy over the picnic tables at the clubhouse. The comfort stations are great. HOT WATER and GOOD WATER PRESSURE!!!!! I am sure you are still making improvements. We have camped at that "OTHER CAMPGROUND" they do not compare to what you guys are doing. You guys are real friendly and informative. I also like the ways that you try to organize activities to help pass the time. (BINGO and VOLLEYBALL). As I said before, we will be back and pass the word on to others as well. Hi everyone, and especially the owners of the Woods. I spent my first weekend at the campground last weekend and loved every minute. I am looking forward to going back. I will eventually love to have my own campsite there. Best of all I found the person I hopefully will be spending the rest of my life with. Not that I found him there but we decided to be together as a couple. Everyone I met was wonderful. I love what you have done so far and what you are planning. Just spent Memorial Day weekend at the woods, had a blast and just loved everyone we met, we found ourselves a new camping home. Won't be going back to the others!!! Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed spending the holiday weekend at The Woods. We were very impressed with the campground, the friendly staff and the activities. When you add near-perfect weather, what more can you ask for? We will definitely be back, and will recommend The Woods to all of our camping friends.
