Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Weekends are a must as this is when the majority of our guests visit the resort

Training will be provided but some experience is preferred with all positions.

Workampers are welcome

The Woods has worked with many WorKampers over the years.  WorKamping is when you exchange all or a portion of your camping fees for time spend working at the resort.  Whether you’re a Perm looking to cut down your seasonal fees or someone seeking a great adult atmosphere with friendly guests to spend your summer, The Woods is a great choice!  Couples are encouraged to apply.

Guest Services - Customer Service Agent

Our Guest Services desk is open daily (10am-5pm weekdays and 9am to 1am on weekends), so a variety of shifts exist. You will be fully trained on our reservation system. Tasks include assisting guests with reservations, checking in guests, answering phone calls and email as well as performing camp store cashier duties (our desk serves both purposes).

English/Spanish bilingual speakers are a plus.

Maintenance Department

First impressions are very important!  The Woods facility maintenance team has many important roles vital to our facilities and equipment.  Work includes maintenance and minor repair of facility machinery and infrastructure plus constant inspection to ensure safety standards are in place.  Duties include grass cutting/trimming, general construction/repair, fire wood cutting, splitting and stacking (we have a processor), bonfire construction as well as trash and recycling collection.  This position requires flexibility since many tasks are as needed.  Must enjoy working with camping guests/employee’s at the resort and take on all tasks with a friendly “can-do” attitude.

Housekeeping

The Woods housekeeping team assures the condition of our facilities remain clean and safety standards are maintained for our guests.  The applicant should have a natural attention to detail, physical strength and the stamina to work long shifts.  Duties include cleaning rental accommodations between guest visits, keeping our bathroom facilities clean and presentable for our guests and clubhouse area cleaning.  Must be flexible since some duties are as needed.  Must enjoy working with camping guests/employee’s at the resort and take on all tasks with a friendly “can-do” attitude.

Activities and Events Assistant

The Woods schedules activities on weekends and designated “vacation” weeks throughout the camping season.  This role is to assist with coordinating, executing, setup and dismantling of events.  Events include site and block parties, pool games, hikes, sporting events, stage shows, shot crawls, hay rides, trivia and games and more!  This position also includes promotion of events through app push notifications.

Food Service - Server

Our café is open Fri, Sat and Sundays and holiday weekends. Table service is available inside our dining room plus our outside covered patio tables.  Meals are busy and many tables are groups enjoying a meal together.  Multi-tasking under stress but with a smile is the norm!  Must enjoy working with camping guests/employee’s at the resort and take on all tasks with a friendly “can-do” attitude.  The Woods Café uses a POS system to help organize your role.

English/Spanish bilingual speakers are a plus.

Food Service - Line Cook

Our café is open Fri, Sat and Sundays and holiday weekends. This role involves prep prior to service and assisting with cooking during meals.  Efficient multi-tasking under stress is a must.  Must enjoy working with camping guests/employee’s at the resort and take on all tasks with a friendly “can-do” attitude.  The Woods Café uses a POS system to help organize your role. 

Food Service - Kitchen Prep/Dishwashing

Our café is open Fri, Sat and Sundays and holiday weekends. Meal times are busy and the need for an efficient kitchen back-end is essential to keep up with diners.   The safety of our guests is important and a clean kitchen is imperative.  Hours can vary depending on the number of diners.  Must enjoy working with camping guests/employee’s at the resort and take on all tasks with a friendly “can-do” attitude.

DJ / Stage / AV / Network

The Club at The Woods is a state of the art facility with video screens and lighting to match any big city venue.  Our DJ’s spin each weekend and vacation week nights.  The Club at The Woods features 8 video screens so music videos and graphics are important to our guests.  DJ’s also entertain our pool guests plus special site and block parties.

The Woods Amphitheatre hosts stage shows and concerts during the season.  Have sound, light, set design or backstage experience?  We’re always looking for artistic and creative minds!

All the lights, video and sound at The Woods originates with advanced behind the scene networks and electronics.  If you’re experienced in this field, perhaps you can help create the next great experience for our guests!

Security & Guest Safety

Attendance at The Woods grows substantially on the weekends.  Even though the stereotypical “Happy Camper” is the norm, needs for security and guest safety do arise.  Duties include patrolling grounds to maintain order and establish presence, monitoring crowds, answering calls for assistance and maintaining incident reports.  Applicants should have excellent surveillance and observation skills and be a quick decision maker.  You should be level headed and act in a lawful manner while in defense of the facility, staff and environment for which you are assigned.  Must enjoy working with camping guests/employee’s at the property and take on all tasks with a friendly “can-do” attitude. Radio communication with senior staff and management is constant.

English/Spanish bilingual speakers are a plus.

Graphic Design / Photography

They say you have to experience The Woods to capture its true essence.  Though photos can’t really do it justice, the right creative mind can represent the charm and full adventure our guests can experience!  You should be the combination of an artist and marketing expert!  You should have experience with photo & graphic editing software.

Massage - Barber - Spa Services

The Woods Body Shop has two studios for guest pampering services.  You’ll use our web based reservation program to schedule your availability and manage your client scheduling.  Use of these facilities is based on a fee sharing arrangement with The Woods.  Licensed and insured applicants only.
